ABSTRACT: Two adaptive transversal filters were designed as an alternative way to filter both the impact of motion artifact in the measurements of photoplethysmographic Blood Volume Pulse (BVP) in an exercising subject and the respiratory trend appearing at the low frequency end of the BVP spectrum. The rationale for the design is presented and results obtained on signals recorded from an experimental setup are shown.
